- Whoa…I knew that you are rich Karen, but this place…isn't it just too much? - Lavi was looking at a big mansion standing right before the beautiful forest of birches.
In front of the mansion there was a roundabout with a fountain in a shape of a beautiful stag whose tail and crest was a cascade of running water. There were flowers growing around it, blue and white flowers. It was truly astonishing and Lavi couldn't look away from the sculpture, but Karen dragged him away by force, forcing Lavi to look at the house. It was huge, made from three parts. One, located in the middle, was made from white marble and had a rounded veranda with the roof leaned on four columns, in the back there was an entrance made from beautiful, dark wood. Two other parts of the mansion were located on both sides of the middle part and they were made from sandstone. The whole building had two glazed corridors which were joining middle with other two. The mansion had two floors and ground floor.
- Karen, your life is really way too posh. And you actually live here alone…it's quite sad.
- Well, I'm not alone in here…I have two maids, a butler who was with me since I was little, a gardener and two drivers.
- I was thinking about someone close…
- Well, if you bring this up…I was actually thinking. - Karen took his hand and smiled. - Would you be my boyfriend?
- Huh? - Lavi looked at him in shock. - Why so suddenly?
- Well, I know that our start wasn't particularly…great, but I would like to start it all over. Of course if you will agree to be with me.
Lavi sighed and smiled to Karen. He wasn't expecting something like that from Karen. They were from two totally different worlds and Lavi didn't think that Karen is taking this relationship seriously. He kissed Karen's cheek gently.
- Of course I agree, but shouldn't you take me on a date first and then ask about me being your partner? - Lavi smiled.
- Well, I am going to take you on a date…but taking into account the fact of us two sleeping together earlier, I just thought that I should ask you first. - Karen laughed.
- Fair enough. No more sleeping together then, until we will be dating for a month or so.
- What?! - Karen blinked nervously. - Are you serious?
- I want you to take me seriously Karen.
Karen sighed. Lavi was right, if this relationship is to work they have to make it in the right way. He wasn't trying, ever, so it was looking quite challenging…but also amusing and exciting. In the end, Karen loved to design. He smiled to Lavi, took his hand into his and lead towards the house.
- So we will have to sleep separately. You can have a bedroom in the right wing…I have mine in left.
- Wait, wait a moment, I don't want to live here. I need my own place Karen, we need time and living together is the last thing in our plans.
- And I though that I will finally have someone to share my home and life with… - Karen sighed sadly.
- You will have…if you won't screw anything up. - Lavi laughed.
- Why would it be me to screw up? You can screw everything up too. - Karen squint his eyes.
- You are the one who never was in a serious relationship. - Lavi shrugged his shoulders. - I bet you weren't even in love, eh?
- Well…you have a point in there. - Karen paused for a moment, thinking. - Fine then, I have another house, closer to the beach. You can take it, I will be sure that you are safe and in good hands of my old maids. You will love them, and the house is in the beautiful spot.
- Well thank you, I will repay you for your kindness. - Lavi smiled. - So shall we go there?
- No, you will stay here for today. We need to eat something and have our sleep. I'm not going anywhere until I get a nap. - Karen smiled. - Come on, dinner will be served anytime now.
- I will stay…but you will have to show me this forest and garden.
- I will, I promise. You can paint something nice sometime, eh? Would be nice.... - Karen stopped suddenly. - So, do you want to go on a date with me…say, on tomorrow?
- Isn't it Friday tomorrow? Aren't we supposed to be working on Fridays? - Lavi stopped as well.
- Hell, no! Who is working on Fridays anyway? Some really low people only! It is called a Free day isn't it? - Karen laughed. -and you are important now, weekend for you lasts for three whole days…sometime four if you feel like it.
- I was working on Fridays my whole life and I really don't feel like being a low person! - Lavi poked Karen several times.
- Fine! I get it, I was joking! But anyway…. - Karen grabbed Lavi's hands and hugged him tightly. - Fridays are free from work for you. Lavi, you are my own, personal and most important painter et cetera ever so you can't be overworked!
They both laughed and Lavi wrapped his arms around Karen's neck.
- I will be very happy to go out with you this Friday. Our first, real date it is then?
- Yes…first but not last. - Karen was looking into Lavi's eyes for a long moment. - You know…I really like you.
- That's surprising… - Lavi's eyes became big and shiny.
- You have no idea how surprising it is for me. But now, let's go and eat. - Karen dragged him into the house.
Lavi followed without objections, admiring the insides of the mansion. Everything was joined in harmony of light colours of vanilla, wood and greens. Huge windows were allowing light to dance all over the walls and floors and beautiful chandeliers made from glittering crystals were shining with many colours, light playing on the walls. The house was as great as its master: everything was showing off Karen's status and pride. The place was filled with flowering plants and bouquets spreading a pleasant smell. Karen indeed was the master of arrangements.
- The dinner is served, sir. - The old butler came to them and smiled. - It's so nice to see young master happy.
- Oh, I missed you Alfred. - Karen hugged the old man with much love. - How have you been?
- Everything is well as long as young master is safe, sound and happy. - Alfred smiled and moved away from Karen. - Come, you must be hungry: it was a very long journey that you both had.
Lavi smiled to Alfred with kindness, he liked him from the first sign. When watching Karen, he was sure that this elderly butler was like a father to him.
- Karen, about tomorrow's date that we will have… - Lavi sat down at the table.
- What about it? - Karen looked at him from the other end of the table.
- Well, if we are to be together we should know more about each other, don't you think?
- What do you want to know then? - Karen looked at Alfred. - We are ready Alfred, please ask for the food.
- As you wish young master. - Alfred left them alone.
- I don't know anything about your family or you when you were younger. It would be nice to know you better. - Lavi was really curious about Karen's past. Karen was looking like somebody who is hiding many things, Lavi didn't want to force him to talk about everything but he wanted to be closer to Karen.
- My parents? - Karen laughed. - My dad left my mother when I was six. But he is a good father, busy but a very good person. Dad is an interior designer; he was the one doing my place. - Karen laughed when Lavi made a surprised face. - And you thought it was my doing? No, no way…I'm crap with walls and stuff like that. I'm too delicate! Probably after my mom, she was a model…now is married to some rich prick.
- Who was taking care of you…?
- When I was small? Well, mum was supposed to, but it was dad who had time for me. She was busy with her career. But it was her who made me who I am now. She had so many friends in this business and some day one of them saw my drawings…and my life begun. - Karen smiled a bit. - But I know really little about her now…don't even know where she lives. Dad is calling sometimes and I think he has found someone for himself. I'm happy, he deserves a family.
- Well...you are more of a Mr. Gold Hearth that I thought. - Lavi laughed.
- I will show you my gold hearth someday and you will regret every single remark you are making now.
- Whoa…wait or I will be seriously scared! - Lavi laughed and stopped with a smile. - I really like this side of you.
- Which one…the gold heart one or rotten bastard?
- Let me think about it…
- Enough! Really you are annoying. - Karen shook his head with a grin. - As a form of punishment you will sleep with me tonight.
- Pf, you wish. - Lavi looked aside. - You will introduce me to your dad, won't you…?
- Of course, he is one of few people that I really want to know everything about me.
- What about me…? - Lavi looked at him carefully.
- You are the most precious person I have. - Karen smiled gently.
The moment was broken by maids bringing food. There was a soup, chicken with vegetables and seafood. Lavi never in his life saw food served that way, it was quite scary. Everything was placed in silver or porcelain pots. He looked at some fruits which were totally unknown to him and blinked few times.
- That would be a Cherimoya. You will love it, the taste is purely amazing. I will give you some after dinner. - Karen laughed. Lavi's ignorance was daring and it was very pleasant to observe him.
- Don't dare to mock me! - Lavi squint his eyes with irritation. - Not everybody is living like kings…
- You really are cute sometimes. - Karen laughed. - You should probably know that from now on you will be a guest on many banquets and parties…we will have to teach you many, many things.
- You are being nasty… - Lavi blushed with embarrassment.
Karen tried hard not to laugh and dropped the topic for now. He didn't want to scare Lavi or anything. The best thing he could do now is to start his meal in silence. Lavi was completely embarrassed and sitting silently for the whole dinner time. Karen couldn't take it any longer: it really wasn't his goal to make Lavi suffer.
- Hey, Lavi. Would you like to go for a walk with me? I will show you my garden.
- Of course, I will go. - Lavi was still staring into his plate, eating slowly.
- Oh, come on Lavi…I didn't mean to offend you in any way and you know it.
- I know. It's not that… - Lavi laughed quietly. - I'm just worried about this whole new situation. I wasn't born to be somebody important and all…I'm just an average person and suddenly you want me to be almost like a star. It's really hard and I'm not sure if I will manage to succeed.
Karen smiled to him and stood up. He understood Lavi's fears very well because it also was quite hard for him to get into this business when he was really young and was absolutely alone with his fears and mistakes. Karen hugged Lavi tightly and kissed his hair.
- You will be fine, be sure of it. And I will always be there for you, so don't panic…panic is what will destroy you from within. Trust me I can really understand your fears: it was the same with me.
Lavi looked at him and smiled happier.
- I will trust you…but anyway, I really am scared like hell! I get the jitters every time I think about my new job…
- Alas! You will be scared…that's how it is and we cannot change it. - Karen laughed. - But it will make you stronger. And now, just forget it, take your notebook, pencil and we will go for a walk.
- Good idea…Sketching is relaxing. - Karen helped Lavi to stand up and they both left the dining room. - Show me this room for tonight, if I'm correct my bags are in there.
- Probably you are right. Let's go then…you will like it and someday soon you will be living there permanently. - Karen grinned. - Before you will move into my room and my bed.
- You will have to wait really long for that to happen. - Lavi laughed. - Do I really have to tell you this thousand of times each day? First there will be few dates, and then I will allow you to stay for one night at my place…then after few more dates I will stay in here for few nights. - Lavi looked at Karen who had a very sad and apathetic face. - And then I will consider moving in here…I say consider! - Lavi shouted because Karen started kissing him suddenly.
- Fine, fine! I get it… - Karen sighed and walked slowly towards Lavi's room. - There, it's your room. Take what you need and we will go.
- Okay, wait a second… - Lavi went in and stopped with amazement.
The room was as beautiful as the rest of the mansion. It wad very bright because of the big windows and bright colours. The walls were in warm yellow colour and the floor was made of light, honey wood. The curtains and the bedding were orange and there were a lot of plants in the room. Lavi smiled, it was almost as if he would walk into the sunlight.
- I thought it would suit you best…mine is more mysterious.
- You mean dark, boring and depressing? - Lavi sat on the bed and started fumbling through his things, searching for a notebook.
- Don't be so frisky! It's not depressing, just old school.
- Of course…of course. - Lavi nodded, hiding his smile.
- You will see it someday. And for your information, my room was also made by my dad…just like this one and the whole house, so everything is nice.
- Can we go now…? - Lavi took his things and went out from the room, leaving Karen behind.

They went to the woods, through the lovely garden that Karen was able to create with help from his father and skilled gardener. The garden was simple but well organised. In the centre there was a pond with few koi fishes swimming in circles, water lilies with beautiful, white flowers floating on the surface and bubbles made from glass that were lighting up at dawn in many colours. Water was running into the pond through a stream, murmuring calmingly. Above the pond a beautiful cherry tree was growing, with its branches dipped into the water. The tree was now green and full of yellow fruits but Lavi longed to see it in the spring, with beautiful pink flowers coating the whole crown. He saw trees like that in Japan and they were simply magical.
While they were walking Lavi saw many pink and blue flowers covering some shrubs and a rocky part of the garden, hidden in the shadow with brightly green and frosty looking edelweiss growing between stones. Everything had its own place and the whole garden was creating an amazing harmony. Lavi saw a bridge going over the stream: it was a wooden, arched bridge painted in bright red, and two weeping willows were growing at both sides of it, covering the water below with green branches. When Karen took Lavi's hand into his and they crossed the bridge, another beauty appeared before Lavi's stunned eyes. It was a teahouse, looking just like those in Japanese gardens. It had a traditional hip and gable roof and sliding screens. All was made from a light wood except of the roof which was darker.
- Are you some kind of a Japanophile or what?
- No, not really…I just value real art pieces and craftsmanship of those people. Isn't it just purely gorgeous? This chashitsu is the only place where I can really relax, drinking my tea and reading some book. I absolutely love those shoji screens and the scent of tatami-mat floors is really pleasant…it smells like a grassland or fresh hay. And that hashi… - Karen pointed at the bridge. - It was actually a gift from my Japanese friend.
- I really don't know what the hell are you talking about… - Lavi was staring at Karen dumbly since he started casting all those Japanese words, blinking every time Karen used one. - But I agree with everything…just for my own safety and peace of mind.
Karen groaned with pain and took Lavi's hand and dragged him without a single word towards the teahouse.
- Chashitsu means teahouse, shoji screens are those white, paper sliding screens. - Karen was pointing at every single thing, treating Lavi as some kind of an imbecile. - Tatami is those mats inside, you see? - Karen took him inside the teahouse.
- Oh, those…and it really smells nice! - Lavi was just about to walk inside, but Karen grabbed his arm and stopped him. - What now?
- Not in those filthy shoes! You are supposed to take them off and then walk inside! You really are hopeless…
- Oh get off my back will you. - Lavi snorted and took off his shoes. - Can I go inside now?
- Yes you can…And remember what I'm saying right now. I have many meetings with Japanese people and they are very important…my company has a branch in Japan and we are even doing kimonos…you know what that one means?
- Of course I know! Every idiot knows that one. - Lavi walked inside and looked at something that resembled a table, but not quite because it was coated with some kind of a quilt. - What is that thing? - He pointed it with a pencil.
- What? Do you mean kotatsu? It's a table…it should be used when it's cold but I had no time to remove it. And it's so cosy especially at night when I'm sometimes sitting here alone…
- A table…then I should sit down and put my legs inside like that? - Lavi covered his legs with a warm quilt.
- Yes, just like that. - Karen smiled while Lavi was starting to sketch.
- So you also know what yukata is and geta…?
- No, unfortunately I'm not familiar with those…but surely you will be kind enough to tell me… - Lavi smiled spitefully.
- Of course…yukata is a cotton kimono worn in the summer and geta are those funny sandals with two heels. - Karen sat down beside him. - Nice, you really have a talent… - Karen was looking at Lavi's quick sketches of the garden.
- Oh! I'm truly amazed. I'm actually good at something in your eyes. - Lavi groaned.
- And who is being nasty now, eh? - Karen snatched the notebook from Lavi's hands and pushed him on the floor.
- Hey! No touching, we had a deal! - Lavi covered Karen's face with both hands, trying to push him off.
- I know that we had a deal, but I will break it now, only for now… - Karen immobilised Lavi's hands and kissed him. Lavi surrounded with little resistance. - You see, both of us want to do it…why bother to wait?
- Why bother you ask? Well, maybe because in the end you will treat me like every lover you had? - Lavi kicked Karen's crotch and quickly moved away. - And when I say no touching, that means no touching.
- You…little, cruel…demon… - Karen was moaning and writhing in pain for few minutes.
- Oh, stop being a sissy! I didn't kick it so hard. - Lavi smiled and started sketching again.
- Yes…it was as gentle as a kiss… - Karen sat up with pain pulsing between his legs.
- Look at the bright side…you will be suffering so much today, that you won't even think about coming into my room at night.
- It's indeed a very bright side…your views are pretty much distorted in many cases…
Lavi laughed so much, that he had to stop sketching for few moments and Karen was looking at him as if it was some freak sitting beside him. But in the end they both started to laugh and they spend the whole day sitting in the teahouse, cuddled together.

After a night spent in Karen's home, eating delicious breakfast on the next day, they were both ready to do their work. Karen was keeping his distance from Lavi, trying hard not to kiss or hug him too much. The only thing he was permitted to do was to kiss Lavi's cheek and hold his hand. It was quite challenging and Karen had a lot of fun especially when Lavi had to hit him or run away to get rid of Karen's busy hands. But after the tea they really had to get going because Karen's responsibilities couldn't wait any longer and so, happy moments had to come to an end.
- I will take you to your new home first. You will be able to drop your stuff and see the house and then we will go to the company, is it fine? - Karen sat down behind the wheel of the red Porsche.
- Yeah, we can do it that way. - Lavi smiled to him. - Anyway, what will I do exactly for you?
- You will be my own pattern designer. I will allow you to pick up the colours and materials to designs that are not quite what I want them to be.
- And how am I to know what you want? Or maybe better to ask what you need me for if you know what you want.
- Well…I am the president of this company so I have limited amount of spare time which I can sacrifice for making corrections. I need someone working just under me, who I can trust that will do this part of work for me and will deliver finished designs.
- Quite a responsible work that you are giving me. - Lavi was panicking a bit.
- Hey, don't worry. - Karen smiled laying his hand on Lavi's knee. - You will be great and I will give you time to accommodate and will help you as much as you need me to.
- Thanks. You really are too good for me. - Lavi smiled and knocked Karen's hand off of his knee. - Remember, nothing funny before our date. You will treat me as a boyfriend should treat a…
- Girlfriend? - Karen started to laugh but Lavi gave him a hard poke. - Hey! What was that for?
- For your stupid jokes. - Lavi smiled viciously.
- You know…you are really scary sometimes. And always hitting me so hard, you are abusing me…
- Don't play such a poor puppy now, and you should learn that one lesson very fast. Now drive and watch the road, I don't want to be killed by some 'gung ho' guy.
Karen looked at Lavi who was watching the ocean with a bright face. Karen smiled, he was sure that his choice was right. Lavi was the person who Karen wanted most to be with him. He was full of hopes and really wanted it to work out between them. Karen knew that he will do everything to achieve this goal - a steady relationship with Lavi. It was clear now, that the time has come for him to settle down with someone loyal at his side.
Karen drove off from the motorway and suddenly it was like a different world. Trees were everywhere and the road was small, noise from the motorway was fading away. Lavi could see houses from a distance and just behind them the ocean was spreading its clear, glittering blue waters. Lavi had to admit that Karen was choosing great places for his houses. Everything was so clean and peaceful.
- How on Earth you were able to find such a beautiful place so close to the city? Where is my house? Show me. - Lavi was looking around, trying to pick out a house which would suit Karen's taste.
- Hmm…let's see. - Karen took of his sunglasses and leaned out of the car a little. - We should be able to see it now. Oh, there it is! The one with red roof and light yellow walls, do you see?
- There are quite a few of those you know… - Lavi made a pout.
- Erm…You see this big birch on our left? - Lavi nodded. - It's growing in your garden and the house has dark, wooden balcony. Do you see now?
- Yes, you should have said it earlier, it would be much easier. - Lavi smiled. - It's nice, so bright and so close to the ocean. I will have a fabulous light for painting.
- Well, my mansion is also this close to the ocean…no, it's even closer, and I'm sure there is a pretty nice light in there too…
- I'm not saying that your house is worse than this one. - Lavi sighed. - When the time comes and if everything will be going smoothly, I will move into your place with no regrets.
- I hope that I will live that long… - Karen smiled. - Hurry up okay? I really want you by my side.
- Don't be so possessive. Even if I will live with you, I will keep my freedom.
Karen nodded slowly and turned into another road. The houses were more and more impressive with every turn. They were bigger, with bigger gardens and beautiful views. But when they finally stopped in front of Karen's house, Lavi was speechless. Everything was so clean and perfect. The house had huge windows and big conservatory full of orchids and other beautiful flowers. Lavi jumped out of the car with an excited squeak and started running around and looking at everything closely.
- I guess you like it? - Karen smiled and walked to the doors. - Here, open up. - He gave keys to Lavi.
- So cool, it's my first time to have a house…and it's so big and posh. - Lavi came inside and looked around.
- Yes, I know it's thrilling but we don't have time now. We will just leave your stuff in here and go.
- But…! - Lavi really wanted to see the house. It was so big and bright, especially stairs made from white, shiny marble. - Is that a TV?! - Lavi pointed the huge screen hanging on the wall in the living room. - Whoa! Do they really make those in this size? And are those speakers? So many of them!
- It's called Dolby- surround, love… - Karen laughed and grabbed Lavi's hand. - And we are going now, we have a really busy day today, do I have to remind you? We have to go to work and then we have a date.
- I know… - Lavi sighed. - Fine, we can go…I will have time for to tour later. - He smiled and squeezed gently Karen's hand.

The company was even more impressive than both houses. It was a huge glazed skyscraper standing in the middle of a little park. There were trees and many colourful flowers growing there and every here and there benches were placed for people to sit down and relax. It was all private property of Karen's, and as he explained to Lavi, this bit of green was for his workers. He believed that if an employee is happy and can relax properly, he will actually work more efficiently and the achievements of the Rosen, as the company was named, were the best proof to back this idea.
The minute they stepped into the building people gathered around Karen, shouting and trying to get his attention and give him some documents. Karen only smiled, took all the papers that were given to him and moved forward, dragging Lavi behind him. They stopped at the desk where a young woman was waiting with a pile of letters. Lavi looked at her and sighed, he could tell that she was one of Karen's lovers, he was sure of it. Suddenly he felt really bad about working in this place, full of beautiful, young girls who were more than happy to please Karen in every way. He looked at Karen who was looking through the letters with full attention.
- How was your holidays Karen? - The girl suddenly spoke, smiling flirtatiously. - Was it…enjoyable?
- Huh? - Karen looked at her and smiled a bit. - Well, it wasn't holidays really…and British weather is mostly depressing, so I wouldn't say it was enjoyable…with few exceptions. - He looked at Lavi and smiled to him. - Don't you agree Lavi?
- What? - Lavi was completely sunk in his dark thoughts about Karen's girls so he didn't pay any attention to the conversation. - Of course…
- You weren't listening at all were you? - Karen laughed. - Let's go then, I will show you your office…Goodbye Loraine.
- Goodbye…sir. - The girl was looking at them in shock…which deepened after Karen took Lavi's hand into his.
At the same time Lavi's mood were getting worse. Wherever he saw a girl smiling to Karen he thought that she is one of those who he slept with. It was scaring him to death. There were so many of them, blondes and gingers and brunettes, all so beautiful and Karen was always smiling to them and when they were passing by his eyes were following them unknowingly.
- How many of them? - Lavi said it before he could shut his mouth.
- What? - Karen looked at him questioningly. - How many what?
- Were…in your bed. - Lavi spit it out with difficulty.
Karen sighed and looked away. Lavi was staring at him with fear that Karen is mad and that's why he is so silent. But eventually Karen's gaze rested on Lavi again. He seemed to be calm and embarrassed a bit.
- I don't really know how many…but not very many at all, that's for sure. I'm not interested in my employers. They are here to work and not to romance around. - Karen smiled. - And that is all in my past, long forgotten.
- Mm… - Lavi didn't look like he was fully convinced.
- Oh come on! It's just ridiculous right now. I didn't even know you back then and I had my life too.
- I understand, okay…I just feel really awkward. I am actually supposed to work in here…with your ex-lovers. I'm afraid that they will not take me seriously and they will be jealous.
- You worry too much Lavi, just forget about them and do what you are supposed to do. And if anybody will not respect you, remember that you are the boss in here with power to fire them at a whip.
- Okay…I'm sorry. It was really lame what I've just did.
- Apologies accepted. - Karen smiled and pushed Lavi into a lift. - We are going to our offices now, on the top floor. - He pushed the button with a "VIP" written on it and they moved up.
The top floor wasn't looking like Lavi thought it would. There were many rooms or offices with people's names written on them. Karen explained that they were all the elite of the company. There were designers in here, bookkeepers, people from public relations and many others that were the core of the Rosen. Lavi and Karen were passing by the rooms and nobody noticed them. This made Lavi feel much more comfortable, there was no more screaming and flirting and bitching around nor casting too curious glances at them. They had to walk all the way to the other end of the corridor, where there was a single desk standing by big, dark, closed doors with a secretary sitting at it. But it wasn't a type of secretary that Lavi expected to see in a place like that. The woman was absolutely scary looking and not attractive at all. She was wearing big and pointy glasses, her hair was set into a tight bun and she had a hooked nose. When they came closer, she smiled for a second and then her face became totally motionless.
- So you finally decided to show up, sir? Do you actually know how many problems we had…especially because your phone was always turned off! - Her eyelid flicked a bit. - Is that your new helper? - The secretary pointed her long, skinny finger at Lavi.
- Yes, that's him. Lavi, meet Mrs. Moira Hall… - He grinned seeing Lavi's shocked expression. - Moira…this is Lavi Rodko, our new artist.
- Yes, nice to meet you Mr. Rodko. - Moira didn't even bother to offer her hand or even to smile. - Karen, his office isn't ready yet. Nobody could come so soon, you should've informed me earlier about him.
- Yes, I know…but I couldn't do that because even I didn't know. Well, never mind that. Lavi can work in my office for few days. - Karen hugged him and smiled to Moira. - Any messages for me?
- Many, you have them all on your desk. Enjoy… - Mrs. Hall waved her hand at them.
Karen laughed and dragged Lavi into his office. It was really big and quite cosy with windows with a view on the terrace full of trees and flowers. There was a long desk standing in front of it and few armchairs around it. Lavi also noticed a small coach in the corner and plasma hanging on the wall. There also was a lonely painting hanging on the opposite wall, surrounded by bookshelves and a cocktail cabinet underneath it.
- Whoa…that's Xu Beihong's 'Slave and a lion', isn't it? - Lavi moved closer to the painting to examine it closely. - It that an original? - Lavi looked at Karen with shiny eyes.
- Do I look like a person who would have a fake in his own office? That one was on the auction, so I bought it…it fits in here perfectly. - Karen smiled. - Although it was quite expensive.
Lavi smiled and looked at the painting with respect. A moment later he grinned, realising that this painting really is ideal for Karen. In the end he was like this handsome, powerful lion and everybody else were just like the slave, terrified and submissive.
- Show me my future office. I really want to see it because if the light will be wrong, you will have to find me some other place to work in.
- Okay, it's here actually. - Karen pointed the doors on the left side of his office. - It is connected to my office, but there are also doors leading straight to the corridor.
Lavi opened the doors and laughed at once. There was a round bed standing in the middle of the room, ready for sleeping and also a wardrobe with open doors. Lavi could see Karen's suits and ties hanging inside. There also was a drawing- table standing in front of the wide window which turned out to be doors leading on the roof which was changed into a garden and could be also seen from the window in Karen's office.
- That's quite interesting. Why do you need a bed and clothes in the company? - Lavi was amused.
- I often have to stay in here for the night, and when I'm too tired to keep on working I can have a comfortable nap in this room…well, I could because now it's your room. - Karen stopped beside Lavi and looked inside. - I really liked this room.
- Well, I like it too. Don't change anything okay? All that I will need is some shelves and a place for my computer, everything else is just great.
- But what about my wardrobe and this bed? Isn't it unnecessary?
- Well…if you will give me some place inside this wardrobe…I can keep my clothes there too. - Lavi smiled and wrapped his arms around Karen's neck. - And about this bed…don't you think it can be…useful sometimes? - Lavi giggled but stopped quickly, seeing Karen's hungry gaze. - Erm…Karen? Why do you have such a scary look on your face?
- I tried, I really did…but you are just too sweet. - Karen pressed him to the wall, grabbed his wrists and moved closer. - Can't we just…get together now? I'm dying when I think how much time I will have to wait for you…
- Karen…rushing things will not help us. - Lavi blushed and tried to escape from Karen's clasp, but he failed. - I'm afraid that this will ruin everything…
- It will not, I promise you. - Karen kissed his neck and pushed his hand into Lavi's trousers. - But I just cannot wait for you any longer.
- You will dump me in the end…just like all the others. - Lavi gasped, feeling that his legs are getting numb.
- No, I won't. I love you… - He kissed Lavi enthusiastically, taking off his clothes at the same moment.
Lavi couldn't resist any longer. He wrapped his arms around Karen's neck and kissed him back. Karen was only waiting for this and now he lifted Lavi up and they both fell on the bed. Even though it wasn't long when they were making love last time, the need to feel each other was overpowering. Their bodies were at the highest level of sensitivity, they could feel even the slightest touch. Karen didn't want to lose time and as soon as they were comfortable and Lavi was ready, Karen pushed his way inside him. Lavi gasped and tears ran down his cheeks but not because he was in pain. He was just afraid that because of this mistake Karen will eventually be bored and will leave him in the end. Lavi knew Karen well enough to know, that he will never be the only one in his life, and that there will be other lovers. But he hoped to have Karen's love and passion just for himself.
Karen gently wiped tears from Lavi's cheeks and smiled to him. He knew what Lavi was thinking about. For him it was clear that he loved Lavi like no one else in his life…almost, because Victor definitely did leave something in Karen's heart. But Karen couldn't know for sure for how long feelings for Lavi will be so strong, he knew one thing, that until he loved Lavi so much, they have to be together and enjoy it for as long as they will be able to. Karen kissed Lavi again, keeping his rhythm smooth and his moves hard. Lavi wrapped his thighs around Karen's waist, pushing him even deeper inside. They both moaned with pleasure, embracing each other, sharing warmth and feeling wetness of their bodies. Lavi scratched Karen's back, making him hiss with pain. After that Karen's hips moved faster and he lost the rhythm which caused Lavi to groan louder.
- Ahh…! Karen, I'm close…sto-stop now. - Lavi's body bended with pleasure allowing Karen to hug him even tighter. - Karen…! More…more…don't stop!
Karen laughed, even though he was close to coming too. Lavi's quick change of mind was just amusing. In the last moments Karen turned Lavi around and speeded up his thrusts, driving Lavi mad with ecstasy. Lavi had to bite his own fist to muffle his screams a bit.
- Ready…? Lavi… - Karen panted into his ear, biting it gently.
Lavi nodded quickly and turned his head to allow Karen to kiss him. They came at the same moment, their bodies clasped together. Karen fell on Lavi's back, breathing heavily. He wasn't even able to pull himself out of Lavi's body.
- I love you… - Karen murmured and kissed Lavi's neck with difficulty. - I'll move now…
- No…stay like that for a moment. It's okay. - Lavi purred like a kitten and yawned. - We were supposed to work…not make love.
- Whatever…somebody will call me if I'll be needed. We can stay here for now. - Karen hugged Lavi and kissed his shoulder.
- And nothing came from our promise to wait with it. - Lavi sighed.
- Forget it…so, will you move to my house now? - Karen moved aside and covered both of them with a blanket.
- Mm…yes, I will. There is no point of me leaving alone after today…
Karen grinned happily and closed his eyes. Moira was clever enough not to bother them until either Karen or Lavi will move out of the office or until Karen will call her. She knew well enough what was going on in the office when there was more than one person inside and when everything was so quiet. Lavi and Karen enjoyed each other's company for few more moments without any interruptions from the outside world.
